Legendary bluegrass artist Sonny Osborne worked exclusively with Recording King to create this outstanding signature banjo! Featuring custom features selected by the bluegrass icon, the Osborne Scout features the classic Recording King peghead with Osborne’s name and arrowhead design in M.O.P., as well as a patterned arrowhead fretboard inlay with Sonny Osborne’s signature block in M.O.P. printed on the 12th fret. The banjo also features a one-piece flamed maple resonator, one-piece figured maple neck, 20-hole tone ring, 3-ply maple rim, white binding, a M.O.P. truss rod cover with “Scout” printed in black, nickel-plated hardware, American standard thread hardware and a Mastertone-style flange. “It has been my extreme pleasure to work with the people at Recording King to produce a midrange banjo which exceeds anything on the market, at an affordable price,” said Osborne. Sonny Osborne was a member of the influential bluegrass group The Osborne Brothers. Today, he is one of the most respected artists in the bluegrass community. Mountain Dulcimer, 4 String, Knotwork (Item Code: DMHRK4) Constructed of a solid Rosewood sides, back, peg box, and fret board in the classic hour-glass shape. The European Spruce soundboard has Celtic knotwork shaped sound-holes. There are 18 frets (yes it does have the 6 1/2 and the 13 1/2 frets) and 4 steel strings with mechanical gear tuners. Includes pick and slide.

Fret board is 1.25 inches wide, Nut to bridge is 25 3/16 inches. Over all dimensions: L 33 x , W 7.5 x H (including bridge) 3.25 inches, the depth of the body without the bridge is 2 inches.

The strings of an instrument both in a store or shipped to you are exposed to air and different environments prior to you receiving it. During this time the strings WILL oxidize, decreasing it's life expectancy and reducing the quality of it's sound. On occasion instruments may even arrive with a broken string, therefore, it is recommended that you purchase a replacement set of strings and consider changing your strings as soon as it arrives. Learning to change strings should be the first lesson learned when embarking on the journey of playing a new instrument.

Concert Ukeleles
