Oud, Egyptian Mosaic with Nylon Gig Bag. This Mosaic inlayed oud has the classic tear-drop shape. Solid staves are used in the construction of the bowl and neck. The back of the body, neck and peg box are all fully decorated with simulated Mother of Pearl inlay. The three sound holes on the soundboard are rimmed by simulated Mother of Pearl inlay. Decorative patterns will vary. Beautifully adorned, this oud has twelve strings in six courses (nylon and nylon wound). The soundboard has a light finish. The nut to bridge measures approximately 24 inches. Over all dimensions are approximately 32 x 15 x 8 inches. Includes nylon gig bag with pick. SPECIAL NOTE: No Warranty on Strings: Whether you purchase an instrument on-line or in a neighborhood store, manufacturers recommend that you change the strings on your instrument as soon as you receive it. Your instrument has completed a long journey to your home. During this time the strings WILL oxidize and this may shorten their life expectancy and may reduce their sound quality. Ek means one and tar means string in Hindi. 5" x 23", simple and fun to play, one string can be made to give a range of tones by applying pressure at various points along the neck. This is a folk instrument made in the central coastal State of Maharashtra. The soundboard is goat skin is tightly stretched over an opening cut in the pumpkin gourd body. A bamboo shaft which serves as the neck One strings is (are) stretched from a hook at the end of the gourd, over the bridge, to the tuning peg at the end of the bamboo shaft.

The Cripple Creek Traveler (CC-Traveler) has the same great entry-level features as popular Gold Tone Cripple Creek line in a shorter “A-scale” version. Features include the same 11” pot assembly design as the popular CC-100R but incorporates a short scale neck that tunes a whole step above a standard banjo (we've eliminated the first two frets). This affordable model is ideal for on the road use and avoiding the long stretch mandatory when playing a standard full length banjo. Although it is an “A-scale” model, using a set of medium gauge banjo strings will easily tune to a standard G tuning typically used in bluegrass and other styles of banjo.
